academic biography
I am a researcher focus on development of a methodological framework that combines biophilic design, environmental perception and well-being, integrating psychophysiological evaluation (e.g., eye-tracking, EEG, fNIRS, fMRI, ECG) with VR simulations, to understand cognitive, emotional and behavioral responses to physical/virtual environment. I get my Ph.D. degree from the Architecture and Industrial Design Department, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. My Ph.D. thesis is Towards a Human-Centered Approach for the Multisensory Design of Urban Park.
I am very fortune to be advised by Prof. Massimiliano Masullo and Prof. Luigi Maffei of SENS i-Lab from the department of Architecture and Industrial Design, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in Italy. I was advised by Prof. Quanhong Wang from Psychology department, Southwest University in China.
You can find my CV here: Jian’s Curriculum Vitae (中文简历).
On this website I present some of my scientific research and write about things that I find interesting, mostly related to architecture and landscape design, neuroscience theory and virtual reality technology.
